Chapter 75 - Secrets

The same time as Yang Tian was feeling down, at the Shrouded Continent, inside the Devil Sect's headquarters, Liao Mei was presenting the Blood Devil Sword to the Devil Sect's Sect Leader. The Sect Leader received the sword and said with an elated yet shaking voice:

- I have waited for this day for a long, long time. Finally, the Blood Devil Sword is in my hands.

They have discovered the Blood Devil Sword for a long time ago but back then its devilish qi was completely drained. After waiting for a long time for the Blood Devil Sword to recover, on the eve of their success, Yang Tian appeared and stole the sword from them. Luckily, the Blood Devil Sword eventually returned to them.

- Mei-er, you've done well this time. Whatever reward you want, name it. I will give it to you.

Liao Mei wasn't shy at all and said:

- I want the Hundred Ghosts Spell.

The Hundred Ghosts Spell was one of Devil Sect's three great arts. Only the Sect Leader had the authority to learn it. No matter how big Liao Mei's contribution was, she wouldn't be allowed to learn it. Yet the Devil Sect's Sect Leader was very generous and gave Liao Mei a black crystal:

Liao Mei bowed and then left, feeling very strange inside. How could the Sect Leader have agreed to her demand so easily. There was definitely something wrong with this so she must be more careful.

The Devil Sect's Sect Leader looked at Liao Mei leaving and said softly:

- Don't think that you can slip from my control just because you learned the Hundred Ghosts Spell. Your time is almost up so enjoy it while you can.

- Since the Blood Devil Sword is now in my possession, it's time to revive the Blood God's soul fragment.

The Devil Sect's Sect Leader held the Blood Devil Sword and sliced open his other hand. His fresh blood shot straight into a statue of the Devil God. The statue glowed with a bloody light. He then produced a formation array and arranged it around the Devil God statue.

Afterwards the  Devil Sect's Sect Leader produced a lot of devilish gems and threw it into the formation array. He discharged a wave of devilish qi into the array to activate it. Immediately a pillar of devilish qi attempted to shoot up into the sky but was stopped by the array. The blood light was getting more and more intense and the devilish qi was being continuously absorbed into the Devil God statue.

The statue suddenly opened its eyes and attempted to move its hands before 3 hexagon-shaped formation that emanated presence of purity appeared. The dense devilish qi was being pushed back step by step. The Devil Sect's Sect Leader muttered:

- Heavenly Mountain Sacred Peak, you've sealed our god for so long, it's time to pay the price.

As he said that, the Blood Devil Sword in his hand flew towards the Devil God statue. The statue's eyes blazed with blood light and it took hold of the Blood Devil Sword. It then sliced down towards the formation arrays. Small cracks began to appear on the three hexagon formation and then the cracks spread like a spider web. A, eerie laugh can be heard emanating from the statue as it continued to chop down on the formations once more.

The arrays immediately shattered and disappeared into thin air. The devilish qi as well as the pure presence disappeared as if they had never existed in the first place. Cracks began to appear on the Devil God statue and the statue was instantly shattered to pieces. A soul fragment flew out from the Devil God statue and looked towards the Devil Sect's Sect Leader:

- You've outdone yourself this time.

The Sect Leader bowed respectfully:

- My Lord Blood God, I've only done what must be done. Your physical body...

The Blood God sneered coldly:

- After being sealed for so long, my physical body have already been destroyed. But no matter, my main body had foresaw this and have prepared a very suitable replacement body for me. I'll go retrieved now and soon I'll be back to my peak. No, I would definitely be far more powerful than before.

- Then I wish Lord Blood God many success. I have prepared ample devilish qi for you. Do you want...

The Blood God waved his hand:

- I still don't have a body currently so I can't absorb too much devilish qi. We can wait until I get my body back.

- Another thing my Lord, recently a stranger claiming to be the Shrouded Continent's Guardian have appeared. His cultivation have likely reached Nascent Soul.

The Blood God was startled:

- And of course the Shrouded Continent's Guardian. You have delayed my grand plan so there will definitely something left for you.

More than a thousand years ago after the supreme cultivator cleaved off part of the Cultivation World to escape, he had massacred many people to cure his injuries. During that massacre almost all of the Nascent Soul Cultivators were wiped out. Because that supreme cultivator was burning for vengeance, he quickly returned to his world once his injuries were healed. He only left a Nascent Soul clone behind to continue his killing and elevate his cultivation. Yang Tian's family was also massacred by that supreme cultivator leaving him the sole survivor.

Luckily, though no one knew what kind of secret arts they performed, the Heavenly Mountain Sacred Peak was able to preserved several of their Nascent Soul Cultivators. That year they declared a great war with the Devil Sect, leading to the complete annihilation of all the Devil Sect's Nascent Soul Cultivators as well as the sealing of the Blood God. Although they emerged victorious, the Heavenly Mountain Sacred Peak paid a huge price and was left with only one Nascent Soul Cultivator. Not only that, he was also heavily injured and had never appeared since.

From then on, the Devil Sect had always been wary of the Heavenly Mountain Sacred Peak. Even though he was heavily injured, a Nascent Soul Cultivator wasn't something Golden Core Cultivators like them can underestimate. Only after a thousand years could the Hidden Dragon Island and the Nan Gong Clan rise up and stepped into the ranks of the four great powers. Yet for the Devil Sect, their true enemy was only the Heavenly Mountain Sacred Peak. They can completely disregard the other two powers.

That supreme cultivator had seemingly predicted that the Blood God would be sealed so he had prepared some stuff for him in advance. The place that housed Blood God's new body was the cave that Ye Wen Tian got his treasures. Everything there was a front to conceal the body.

At that time, even the if Nascent Soul Cultivator of the Heavenly Mountain Sacred Peak had recovered from injuries, he would still stand no chance.

That supreme cultivator had predicted correctly and planned accordingly. But no matter how meticulous his planning was, there would still be errors. This time his error was Yang Tian. Chapter 74 - Promise

Qin Xue saw Yang Tian and was very happy. However upon seeing the beauty sitting with him, she became cautious. She then sat down next to Yang Tian:

- Yang Tian, this is?

- This is a friend that I've met recently. We were in the hospital earlier and I met her there. Since it was convenient, I asked her to lunch.

Yang Tian didn't lie but he was speaking half truth so Yao Ling couldn't rebut his words. Qin Xue heard that Yang Tian was in the hospital and was immediately worried:

- Why did you have to be in the hospital? Did you get injured?

- Nothing like that. I was asked by a friend to save a patient.

Yao Ling also said:

- That's right, it was lucky that Yang Tian was there. If not for him, the patient might not have made it.

Qin Xue heard someone praising Yang Tian and felt a bit proud. Suddenly there was a call from afar:

- Qin Xue, where are you?

Qin Xue heard that and turned to Yang Tian:

- I have to go, see you tomorrow.

Yang Tian nodded:

- See you tomorrow.

Qin Xue wanted to stay for a bit longer but she was here with her friends and she couldn't abandon them. Yang Tian saw Qin Xue leaving and breath a sigh of relieve. He had never planned for situation like this.

Yao Ling looked at Qin Xue's disappearing figure and said:

- She's very beautiful.

- It looked like she likes you a lot.

Yang Tian didn't answer, he was not sure about this. Although Qin Xue cared for him a lot, it could be that she saw him as a close friend or her savior. Yang Tian was a complete newbie when it came to male-female relationship. Not only that, women were so incomprehensible so how could he understand. Yao Ling looked at Yang Tian's thoughtful face and could help but chuckled:

- You didn't know?

- How would I have known. You women, even though you each have different personalities, are all indecipherable.

- You are a man and you can't even understand stuff like this? You might as well hit your head on a rock. Such an embarrassment.

Yang Tian was silent once again. Yao Ling had always provoked him like this. He was still not her match so he can only choose to be silent. Yang Tian resolved to go on the Internet to ask some expert on how to deal with her.

Yao Ling saw that Yang Tian had folded and wasn't in any mood to tease him anymore:

- Alright, let's not talk about this. You still haven't admit that you are that godly doctor's disciple.

- Why do you think I'm related to him. Could it be because of my medical skills?

Yao Ling shook her head and said:

- That's not entirely the case. It's just that your temperament is very similar to his. You are both womanizer.

Yang Tian screamed in his heart: "A brother-in-arms". If that guy was still alive then he must learn some of his techniques. He still maintained a dignified looked to Yao Ling:

He couldn't use force against them and he was no match for them in a war of words. Yang Tian mentally list Yao Ling as S-class difficulty. He could only retreat and plan his next move.

Ling Ya Qi left the examination room and her mood was once again serene. The doctor said that she missed her period because of stress. As long as she get enough rest, she'll be back to normal. She had already called her manager to schedule a couple of days off. Of course her manager didn't deny her. To her, Ling Ya Qi's health was the most important thing.

As she stepped out of the entrance of the hospital, Ling Ya Qi once again encountered Yang Tian. He was very annoyed at this moment and was about to find Yao Nan to give him a piece of his mind. However he unexpectedly ran into Ling Ya Qi though he still pretended not to see her.

Ling Ya Qi saw Yang Tian walking pass her as if not knowing who she and called out to him:

- Yang Tian, it's me.

Yang Tian felt bitter, was she going to yell at him for the other day? He turned around and feigned happiness:

- Ya Qi, so it's you. Why are you here?

After Ling Ya Qi found out that Yang Tian had done nothing to her, she felt guilty and was no longer mad at him for hugging her while they slept. She smiled and said:

- I had a cold so I came here for some medicine. That's right, I got permission to take two days off. Are you kind enough to take me on a tour of the city?

If it was under normal circumstances, Yang Tian would be thrilled and would agree straight away.  However he had a date with Qin Xue tomorrow and then he had to come to Mu Wu Han's house so he was all booked up. Seeing Yang Tian's silence, Ling Ya Qi said regretfully:

- It seems that you are not free, another time then.

Yang Tian couldn't bear seeing a beauty disappointed and said:

- I'm busy during the day so how about I take you out at night. Will that be ok?

Ling Ya Qi looked at Yang Tian with cautious eyes made him felt wronged:

- Why are you looking at me like that. I'm not telling you to spend the night.

Hearing that, Ling Ya Qi was somewhat reassured:

- Alright, here's my number. When you are ready, call me.

Yang Tian saved the number and nodded:

- Rest assured, you'll enjoy yourself very much.

Realizing that his words were a bit suggestive, Yang Tian corrected himself:

- No, that's not what I meant. I mean that I'll take you to fun places that will make you happy. Don't misunderstand me.

Ling Ya Qi laughed:

- I haven't even said anything yet. Do you have some bad intentions? Is that why you got so jumpy? Alright alright, I need to go back to the hotel, see you later.

Saying goodbye to Ling Ya Qi, Yang Tian sighed:

In the Cultivation World, might is right. As long as you have strength, beauties would flock to you. Not only that, in the Cultivation World, a man with multiple women were the norm. As long as you have enough strength, everything will be fine.

Then they would feel the need to rise further, the stand atop of those existence. For an existence that had reached the apex like Yang Tian, how to live one's life to the fullest was the main issue.

After thinking for a bit, Yang Tian swept all of it aside. He was seeking beauties and he couldn't control whether or not he would succeed. So just let nature run its course.

Chapter 73: Meeting

- You mean Xiao Ling? I don't recall her knowing medical arts.

- This is very hard to explain. I'll tell you about it later.

As Yao Nan said that, he exited the room and called Yao Ling:

- Xiao Ling, are you here yet?

- I'm at the entrance of the hospital, which room are you in?

- I'm in room... Can you be faster, the patient is in dire condition.

Yao Ling soon arrived and upon seeing Yang Tian, she came up and smiled to him:

- I heard that you want to see me?

Yang Tian was taken aback and looked at Yao Nan:

- He said that you wanted to observe my treatment process. Is that not true?

Yao Nan heard that and quickly said:

- That's right. Xiao Ling, didn't you say that Yang Tian's medical arts was extraordinary and you wanted to witness it for yourself?

Yao Ling scowled, she had never said that before. However she saw Yao Nan's begging face and understood everything. She quickly nodded:

- That's right, how could I forget. Yang Tian, can you please broaden my horizon.

Yang Tian heard that and was cheerful:

- Alright, pay attention.

As he said that he produced a box of acupuncture needles. After the last time he cured someone, Yang Tian had always brought a box with him in case of emergency.

With blinding speed, Yang Tian inserted more than 300 needles all over the patient's body. The director couldn't help but look back at the Yao siblings in disbelief.

- Tell me, where did this acupuncture technique originated? Why do I get the feeling that he's randomly inserting the needles just for the sake of inserting the needles?

Yao Nan was also sweating bullets but he still believed in Yang Tian's medical arts:

- Don't worry director. His medical arts is very high, it's normal for us not to understand.

The three didn't know this but Yang Tian was inserting randomly. And although he didn't know medical arts, he did know where the death points were. Seeing that the patient had been filled with needles, Yang Tian started to pour his spiritual qi through the needles into the patient's body.

Yang Tian used Water Spiritual Qi this time to avoid hurting the patient. Everywhere the Water Spiritual Qi washed through, the bugs were swept away from the bone of the patient. Yang Tian then lifted the patient up and slapped the patient's back hard. He let out a cough and hurled out a black puddle. Yang Tian looked innocently:

The director heard that and called some nurses and doctors to do some tests. Yao Nan was also observing very carefully on the side. Yang Tian felt bored and approached Yao Ling:

- There's nothing left to do here so I wanted to invite you out for a meal, how about that?

Yao Ling didn't refuse him and the two left. As they reached the entrance, Yang Tian saw a familiar figure and was a bit surprised:

- Why is she here?

The person was Ling Ya Qi. Her being here made Yang Tian felt odd. Didn't she say that she had to do a show in a couple of different places?

Yao Ling saw that Yang Tian was staring at a woman in the distance so she pinched him:

- You are inviting me out yet you still fantasize about other women?

Yao Ling didn't recognize Ling Ya Qi because she was wearing clothes that covered up her features. Her outfit was loose and baggy, she was wearing a large rim hat and a large pair of sunglasses. Yang Tian retracted his attention, Ling Ya Qi must still be furious with him so it wasn't a good idea to bother her at this time:

- Nothing like that, I just thought that she looks like a friend of mine but it seems that wasn't the case.

Yao Ling frowned at Yang Tian and moved forward without saying another thing.

Ling Ya Qi was in a panic at this very moment. Her period had been late for a couple days. At first she didn't take notice of it but it was getting worst and worst. Ling Ya Qi didn't say anything to her manager and came here stealthily for a check up.

Yang Tian didn't keep explaining. From her eyes it was clear that she didn't believe him. Yao Ling continued:

- You think that person is me?

Yao Ling  shook her head:

Yang Tian was surprised to hear that there had been someone like that. He never thought such a person existed. If that person was still alive then he must sat down and have a drink with him.

- You are thinking way too much. I have no relation with that person. I'm not much of a womanizer like that guy. I'm a very stand up person, I'm forever regretful that I would never get a chance to converse with Liuxia Hui¹...

Before he could finish, Yang Tian felt someone approaching him.

- Yang Tian, I can't believe that I would see you ere. When did you get back, why didn't you call me?

Without turning around, Yang Tian could tell who it was. He was like a thieving cat that was caught. He maintained his smile and turned around:

- Xue-er.

Chapter 72: Bone Devouring Insect

Yao Nan knew that without Yao Ling, Yang Tian would definitely not help. So he gritted his teeth and called her:

- Big brother what did you call me for? I'm in the middle of shopping with my friends, very busy right now.

- I'm not sure about liking you but more about you being a beauty. I've seen him paid extra attention to the beauties. The other case I told you about, Yang Tian only saved the patient because her daughter was a beauty.

- I understand, I'll be there immediately.

Yao Nan saw this and stood up:

- Professor, all of this is unimportant. Can you tel us about the treatment? The patient is in dire conditions, their humerus have been completely eroded.

The professor scowled:

- Who are you? Which hospital did you come from? You have no manners. Do you know that this a completely new disease? If we can't find the cause of the disease how can we find a cure?

Yao Nan was angry and was about to say something before Yang Tian pulled him down and stood up:

- So how long are you planning on finding out the cause? A day, two day or even a month? After you are done with that you'll probably take several years to find the cure. Yeah, I think by that point the patient will be reduce to a skeleton. Ah not really, I don't think even their bones will be left.

The professor was furious to the point that his face turned completely red. He pointed at Yang Tian but before he could say anything, he let out a deafening scream. He clutch his arms and fell to the floor. Yang Tian said coldly:

- You really shouldn't have point your fingers at me.

Yao Nan was also startled by Yang TIan's action. He was about to stop Yang Tian but Yang Tian understood and said:

- It's fine, I just taught him a small lesson. This diagnostic is going nowhere. Lead me to the patient.

Yao Nan smiled awkwardly since he was the one who invite Yang Tian. Everything that had happened would all be on him. However with the strength of the Yao Clan, this wasn't much of a problem.

- Tell me a bit about the patient's situation.

Yao Nan regained his wits:

- I'm not too sure. I heard that the patient's bone is being continuously eroded. The doctors had tried to amputate some of the affected area to no avail. It's truly a weird disease.

After Yang Tian heard that he thought of a poisonous insect, the Bone Devouring Insect. This bug was very special as when the victim is infected they will start out fine. However the queen bug will continuously reproduce inside the victim's body until every part of their bone is filled with eggs. Afterwards the queen bug will choose a place to die.

The larvae will received a signal when it happens and break through their eggs to feast on the victim's bone. Even if they cut off part of the body, the larvae in the other parts will still continue to hatch.
The Bone Devouring Insect was a type of Gu and although it wasn't ranked very high, it was very rare. If it was found early then it could be easily disposed off. However if some time had passed then even a Foundation Establishment Cultivator would have to swallow his sorrow and die. He wondered how deep the hatred between the patient and their assailant was that merited such an evil method.
Yang Tian had formulated his theory and followed Yao Nan inside the patient's room. Inside was an elderly man. The patient was a young man that was sedated. One of his arm had been amputated. The Gu poison started from the arm so it seemed the queen decided to die there.

This also confirmed Yang Tian's theory. Normally when someone used the Bone Devouring Insect, they'll order the bug queen to die at vital area so that the victim die as soon as possible. But this person let the queen died at the arm to maximize the pain and fear that victim would feel before he died. It was a shame that they had met Yang Tian else their ploy would likely succeed.

Yao Nan approached the elder and bowed:

- Director, this is Yang Tian, the one that I told you about from before.

The elder evaluated Yang Tian for a bit then slightly nodded:

- You are the Yang Tian that cured the Yao Clan's Old Patriarch and that female patient?

- That's me. Those were small matters so no need to pay attention to them.

The elder praised him:

- Which part of it is a small matter? We have yet to find a cure for the woman. As for the Yao Clan's Old Patriarch, there have been many renowned physicians treating him and none succeeded. So which godly doctor did you study under?

- Nothing like that, I just studied some ancient medicine books in my free time. I just conveniently saved a couple of people, that's all. That's right, I've read about this condition before so just leave it to me.

The elder was surprised:

- So you can treat it. Can you tell this old man a bit about the treatment?

Yang Tian shook his head:

The elder sighed in sorrow:

- Alright you can give it a go. After all we are out of ideas.

Yang Tian approached the patient and didn't move even after a long examination. Yao Nan, who stood beside him, was a bit impatient:

Yang Tian turned to him and said:

- I suddenly remembered an important matter.

The two quickly asked:

- What matter?

- Yao Ling is still not here yet.

Chapter 71 - Strange Illness

Yang Tian saw Li Pan's rage as confirmation that he was right. The man's embarrassment had turned into rage it seemed.

- (cough). Panzi, I understand that Xiao Hua is a bit beyond you so how about I ask Qin Xue to introduce some of her friends to you.

- I know that we are very close friends. I was born very handsome so it's understandable that you would have an attraction to me. But you must know that I only see you as a friend. I don't have that very "special" interests.

- Rest assure I won't breath a word to anyone. The world is not as strict with stuff like that as before so no need to worry.

Li Pan felt his veins popping, if he didn't know what Yang Tian was talking about then it would be an insult to his intellect. He suppressed a desire to threw his phone on the ground and took a deep breath:

- Yang Tian, you listen to me very carefully. I, Li Pan, am completely straight, I don't have that particular leaning. I'm calling you today to tell you about my upcoming clan meeting. I was hoping that when the time comes, you would accompany me.

Hearing Li Pan's voice back to normal, Yang Tian was at eased:

- It's not a problem at all. When the time comes, call me.

Hearing Yang Tian's refreshing response, Li Pan's rage was eased a bit. He was about to say something else before he heard the other line shut off.

Yang Tian was very afraid of Li Pan bringing up the previous matter again. Just thinking about made him felt cold all over his body.

With just him along inside this large mansion, Yang Tian decided to visit Zhao Wu Xin at the hospital. It would be a good opportunity to develop their relationship some more.

As he thought about it, Yang Tian immediately set out to the hospital. He quickly found Zhao Wu Xin sitting next to mama Zhao. There was another middle aged man standing to the side with Yao Nan. Yao Nan looked at the reports before him and nodded to the three people.

- She is completely cured, her health has also improved for the better. She can leave the hospital today. I've already finished all the paperworks and you guys only needed to sign and she'll be out.

The middle aged man took the papers and signed. He bowed to thank Yao Nan but Yao Nan said:

- No need to thank me, this was primarily done by Yang Tian.

He suddenly looked at Zhao Wu Xin:

- I wondering whether or not you can contact Yang Tian for me? I have some urgent business with him.

Zhao Wu Xin nodded:

- I understand, I'll call him right away.

Yang Tian heard that Zhao Wu Xin wanted to call and immediately stepped in:

- No need, I'm already here.

Hearing Yang Tian coming in, Zhao Wu Xin's father was taken aback a bit but quickly walked up and shook his hand:

- You are Yang Tian. I'm truly thankful to you. If not for you, my wife wouldn't be here today.

- It's nothing much. She's Wu Xin's mother, how could I not save her.

The two were startled and looked toward Zhao Wu Xin. This young man called their daughter Wu Xin and she didn't seem against it. It seemed their relationship wasn't simple. Mama Zhao saw that and said:

- That's right, we are all one family. Yang Tian, when you are free you must come over for a meal. Xin-er's cooking is very good.

Zhao Wu Xin knew that her parents had misunderstood but she wasn't in a position to explain. Yang Tian had save her mother's life so how could she not let him call her Wu Xin. She resolved to explain it properly to her parents when they got back so it would cause any unecessary misunderstanding.

Yang Tian heard that and was cheerful:

- If aunty had said that then I must try it when I get the opportunity.

- Why need an opportunity, we can return to our house now if you don't have anything urgent.

Not waiting for Yang Tian to answer, Yao Nan quickly spoke up:

- Sorry, I have something very urgent I need to ask Yang Tian. Can you do this another time?

Zhao Wu Xin seized the opportunity and said:

- That's right, doctor Yao Nan had said that, we shouldn't bother with their business. Besides, mother has been in the hospital for such a long time and the house is very messy so it's not proper to invite a guest over.

The two saw sense in what Zhao Wu Xin said and nodded:

- Xiao Tian, then we must take a rain-check. I'll have Wu Xin invite you over some other time.

Yang Tian could only agree and looked at Yao Nan angrily. If this wasn't important then he would teach this guy a lesson.

Zhao Wu Xin immediately pulled her parents out. She was afraid that their misunderstanding would deepened. Yang Tian saw that and didn't think it was proper to delay them any longer. After the three had left, Yang Tian looked at Yao Nan angrily:

- Yao Nan, your business better be good. If not I'll teach you the consequences of ruining my good fortune.

Yao Nan smiled awkwardly, he didn't want to offend Yang TIan. It seemed that the other person was very angry so Yao Nan chose his words carefully:

- I truly wanted to meet you for a very important reason.

- There has been a strange case popping up. The patient looked normal on the outside but something seems to be eating away at their bones. We were lucky that we caught it early and the patient has been moved to Qing Lin District and the person is now inside our Huan Wu hospital.

- There had been many specialist that had rushed here despite their work to examine but the patient. They are now in a meeting room to discuss the cause of the illness as well as a cure. It's been 3 hours and no one had come up with anything conclusive. It seems that the result won't be too optimistic.

- I want to invite you to join in the diagnostic process with them. I believe that with your medical skills, we can find a way to treat this illness.

Yang Tian seemed focused as if he was thinking about something. Yao Nan saw that he was intrigued and was elated inside and didn't say anything else. Yang Tian thought for a moment then looked at Yao Nan with a surprised look:

- Was there anything else?

Yao Nan shook his head:

- There's nothing else. This is a really urgent matter so we really should get to it. The more we delay the more peril the patient will be in.

- This was the important matter that you mentioned?

Yao Nan felt that something was wrong and before he could say anything, he was hoisted up by the collar:

- It seems I have to teach you a lesson so you don't spoil my good fortune next time.

Yao Nan panicked and screamed:

- Yang Tian, a person's life is very important, don't tell me...

Yang Tian immediately interrupted him:

- I am not some kind lord savior, were you planning to bring every untreatable patient to me? Such absurdities, who told you that I have to save people simply because I know medical arts. Whether or not I'll save someone depends on my mood. And I can tell you right now: "My mood is not very good at the moment".

Yao Nan was flailing about and upon realizing that couldn't escape, came up with an idea:

- I forgot, I have another important thing.

Yao Tian scowled:

- Yao Ling told me that your medical art is exceptional and you look very handsome. She wanted to see you in action saving people. She was sure that you would look very manly when doing it.

He immediately put Yao Nan down:

- Why didn't you say that from the beginning, let's go.

Yao Nam was rubbing his neck:

- Go where?

- To save a person, didn't you want me to cure an illness?

Yao Nan looked at him mockingly:

- Didn't you say that your mood was bad so you won't save a life?

Yang Tian didn't pay any attention to him and said very spirited:

- How could that be, you must have misheard me. We are doctors and our duty is to save lives. A good doctor is like a kind mother, no matter how difficult things get we must not falter. We must see every patient like our children. Buddha had said that if I don't go to hell then who will? Through that we can see his benevolence and we must learn...

Yao Nan quickly stop Yang Tian. Yang Tian's Wind Slicing Art was too high, he couldn't take it anymore.

After dragging Yang Tian outside, Yang Tian suddenly stopped. Yao Nan was once again taken aback:

- Well say it. The patient doesn't have much time.

Chapter 70 - Returning Alone

Yang Tian chuckled, why is it that when anyone hears of his fake identity, they would always assume that he was a Nascent Soul Grand Cultivator. Yang Tian didn't know that this was a common thought amongst every cultivator. Each sect had a Guardian that represent their strongest power. So the Guardian of the continent represent its strongest being.

Although the Shrouded Continent couldn't be compared to before but they still had a lot of Golden Core Cultivator. Yang Tian was the Guardian so his cultivation must have reached Nascent Soul. As for the higher cultivation levels, no one had even thought of them.

Of course he wouldn't explain it to them. He just thew out the information and they can insinuate whatever they wanted.

Su Yue Er saw that Yang Tian didn't answer and was even more certain of her conjecture:

- If your identity has been made clear then I won't stay here anymore. My master reminded me to tell you this: "If you have free time then you should come to the Heavenly Mountain Sacred Peak for a visit".

As she said that, Su Yue Er didn't pay anymore attention to him and went to her room to pack up. Yang Tian was taken aback, he had messed up big time. His troubles didn't  decrease but even increase. Not only that the two beauties in his home had simultaneously left. Waiting for Su Yue Er to come out, Yang Tian said:

- Didn't you want to cultivate the Hundread Sword Art? Stay here and I'll continue to teach you.

- There's no need, I've understood the fundamentals of the Hundread Sword Art. As long as I digilently cultivate it for a time I'm confidence of reaching the large completion realm for it when the Resource Competition comes. That's right, with your current identity you can't participate in the Resource Competition.

- Why is that?

Su Yue Er looked at him like he was an idiot:

- Can you use your brain for a bit? Your current cultivation and identity is not suitable to participate. Even if you said you are a member of the Dark Society, no powers would recognize it.

Yang Tian nodded, this could be a good thing for him. He didn't want to play a wolf in sheep clothing since it was far too meaningless. Seeing Su Yue Er adamantly leaving, Yang Tian didn't stopped her. He produced a bracelet and gave it to her:

- Since you've decided to leave, I won't stop you. Take this as a momento.

This bracelet was the exact same as the one that he gave Qin Xue, the only difference was the color. Su Yue Er took the bracelet and examined it closely:

- This is a Spirit Artifact, you're quite generous.

In her eyes, although this bracelet emanated spiritual qi but it was very weak so its main purpose was for show. To make a Spirit Artifact as a decorative gift for a woman, one could only use the word wasteful. Because of this the word "generous" slid out of Su Yue Er's tongue sarcastically.

Yang Tian's face darkened, he gave her a gift and was mocked in return. It was truly give them an inch, they take a mile. He immediately turned back to return to his room, he was in no mood to eat anything anymore.

Su Yue Er stowed away the bracelet and went outside. She immediately vanished in a flash. Everything was clear so she needn't stay her anymore. Whether Yang Tian come to them or not was his problem.

Returning to his room, Yang Tian was bored since he had nothing to do. Suddenly he thought of the assassin still in the adjacent room. At this moment, the female assassin was sitting on the bed, her face distressed. Seeing Yang Tian coming in, she lunged at him:

- Yang Tian, what did you do to me? Why is my cultivation completely gone.

Yang Tian had expected this. The poison had spread through every part of her body so he had to use True Yang Spirit Qi to eliminate it. However the True Yang Spirit Qi was for too powerful and the little spiritual qi that she cultivated was turned to ash upon contacting with it. With her cultivation gone, she was now mortal.

- The poison was very strong. Although you're completely cured, your cultivation was destroyed in the process.

The assassin slumped down the bed, her body shook. For some Cultivator, their cultivation was more important than their lives. Yang Tian saw her like that and comforted her:

- No need to worry, your foundation wasn't affect at all so you can cultivate once again.

The assassin smiled sorrowfully:

- You make it sound so easy. Do you know that I've cultivated since I was young. You know how much hardship I had to go through to obtain that cultivation?

- That was because the mantra you cultivated wasn't suitable. I've checked your constitution, this Dark Spirit mantra is very suited for you.

As Yang Tian was talking, he placed one of his hand on her head. A mantra suddenly appeared in the assassin's head. Although she didn't know how powerful this mantra was, its complexity was far above her old mantra.

She looked at Yang Tian suspiciously:

- You easily gave me a mantra like this. What do you want me to do.

Yang Tian's face blackened, did he missed something when walked out of his room? He gave out gifts twice out of goodwill and he was treated with disdain and suspicion. Since when did his dignity fell that low?

- Well I do have a demand.

- Of course you do, well say it then.

- You only need to tell me your name.

The assassin looked at him with suspicion once more, this was her instinct as an assassin:

- Is that truly all.

- That's right.

- People called me the Poison Witch but my real name is Qing Wu.

As she said that, Qing Wu stood up and went outside. Yang Tian immediately stopped her:

- Since you are no longer an assassin, you probably have nowhere to stay. How about staying here. You see this place has all the amenities, it's also very spacious and I can teach you cultivation.

Qing Wu stopped to ponder for a moment then said:

- I have something to do but if your door is open in the future, I won't say no.

After that she immediately left. Yang Tian didn't stop her as it seemed that truly had pressing matters to attend to. He stealthily imbued her body with some of his spiritual qi. If she could refine it then her cultivation would quickly reach Foundation Establishment. This was because Yang Tian was afraid she would get into danger.

Arriving back at his room, Yang Tian returned to his single life. Although he had been single all along, at least he had beauties living with him before. The reality was too cruel. As he was lost in thought, he got call from Li Pan:

- Yang Tian where have you been for the last couple of days. I couldn't reach you at all.

Hearing Li Pan's concerned voice, Yang Tian felt a chill in his back. Could this Li Pan had failed so much romantically that he decided to switch his interest?

- I was truly very busy the past couple of days, if there isn't anything urgent don't call me.

- How could that be, I'm calling you for some very urgent business. I really want to see you right now. Where are you at, I'll come and pick you up.

Yang Tian said in an understanding tone:

- Li Pan, you shouldn't be like that. I know that you are not a handsome man. You are also not rich or have any outstanding talent. Beauties probably won't be attracted to someone like you. How about lowering your standards a bit. As long as she is a bit cute, no, no, as long as she is a woman, I'm sure you will quickly find a girlfriend then.

On the the other line, Li Pan face blackened. He didn't fully understand what Yang Tian said. But he was sure that the man was insulting him saying he wasn't handsome, wasn't rich and wasn't talented so any woman would do. Although he was handsome, he did have some money. With his hacking skill how could anyone say he's not talented. Although he didn't have a girlfriend, if he tried he'd sure he get one.

Yang TIan saw that Li Pan was silent and assumed that he hit the nail on the head and continued:

- I think Xiao Hua is a very excellent girl. Although her figure is nothing to look at, her personality is very good and I heard that she is an excellent cook. If you take her home, as long as you are careful not to get squish by her...

Li Pan couldn't take it anymore and roared:

- Shut up Yang Tian. If you like Xiao Hua so much then marry her, I won't stop you.

Thinking of Xiao Hua's almost 200kg figure, Li Pan sweated all over.

Chapter 69 - Evolve

The person looked panic:

- I don't know, she was fine when we came into her room but as soon as we got here she looked like that.

The assassin looked and Yang Tian and smiled coldly:

- You know that my specialty is poison. There are things which are non-poisonous in themselves but with the right combination can be synthesize to be a lethal poison.

- So you did this yourself. Why do you want to kill yourself so much?

- That's the only way I can choose my own fate.

Yang Tian shook his head and put his hand on top of her head. The assassin looked at him with disdain:

- No need to waste you breath, the poison has spread to my heart. If not for me being a cultivator then I'd soon be dead. Now even a Golden Core expert would have no way of saving me.

- Then do you dare to make a bet with me?

- A bet?

- That's right. If I can save you then from now on your life is mine.

The assassin shook her head:

- If I win then I die. Even if you save me, I gain nothing, you think I am a fool?

Yang Tian was silent. She was still an assassin and would be easily lured like Ye Ling. Yang Tian didn't continue to argue with her and sent a hot strand of qi inside her body.

A plum of back qi flew out from her body. The assassin couldn't take it and yelled loudly. She felt that every part of her body was burning and she couldn't endure it. After a while, Yang Tian pulled back his hand. The poison was completely expelled but the assassin had long passed her limit and passed out.

Yang Tian carried her up to the jet. Ye Wen Tian didn't say anything from start to finish and flew the jet bringing them both back.

Putting the assassin on the opposite seat, Yang Tian immediately opened his laptop to continue his gaming session. He finished half the rank up quest yesterday and the flight would take 10 hours so if he was lucky he'd finished the rest.

If any other player knew of this then they would dropped their jaw. Rank up quests for the 4th rank were very difficult because there were areas that didn't allow for partying or quests that focused on skill and not battle power. However these actually benefited Yang Tian since he was only in his server cluster that reached 3rd rank so he had to solo every quest by himself. As for skill, who had more agility and reaction than him?

Yang Tian was solely focused on his questing and luckily he managed to rank up before they got home. Now all he needed to do was to wait for his set item to arrive to register for the event.

When they got back, Yang Tian bade Ye Wen Tian goodbye and brought the assassin home. Letting her down in one of the room, Yang Tian went back to his own to sleep.

 After only a brief nap, Yang Tian got a call:

- The equipment has been sent to your character. As long as you reached 4th rank, you can use it.

- Good, I'll transfer the rest of the money.

Yang Tian transferred the rest of the money through the bank and got a call from the other side:

- We've received the money, I hope we can work together in the future.

Yang Tian turned off his phone and boot up his computer. He had already completed all the necessary quest and only needed to find the Evolution Stone to reach 4th rank. This was also the hardest quest. He needed to head to the Thousand Kings Ruin to kill bosses to get it. To advance to 4th rank one must head to the 4th floor and every boss there was far more powerful than him. Not only that he couldn't buy any buffs. The drop chance of the Evolution Stone was not even 0.01%.

Yang Tian used all his gaming skills and played from early morning to 7pm. He finally lucked out at the 131st boss which dropped the 4th rank Evolution Stone. This was his extreme luck because normally one would need to kill 700-800. There those that were really unlucky and wouldn't even get a drop after 1000 kills.

Yang Tian immediately teleported back to town to begin his evolution. After 10 minutes, the system alerted him that he had successfully evolved. Yang Tian opened his mail and took out the set item. The design of the set was very eye catching and the stats were incomparably high. To replace the wings was a halo, inside the halo was a 10 sided start and strange markings also appeared underneath his character's feet. The movement speed bonus of the halo was at least double that of the wings.

For getting the 4th rank class, Yang Tian received a random skill from the system. Since he was the first person that got 4th rank, he had the privilege of choosing a skill instead. Scrolling through 1000 different skills, Yang Tian finally settled on a skill called the Silent Time.

It was a very unique skill that allowed Yang Tian to stop the time within an area for 15 second and had a cooldown of 5 minute. 15 second sounded short but  Yang Tian believed that he only needed 3 second to lock his opponent in his endless combo.

Although he had the 4th rank class Divine Sage, his base class was still Swordsman with an average damage output. However if he got off a full combo, even if his opponent didn't die, they would be crippled. The rest of the time could be spent on finishing them off. Not only that, this skill had no counter so it was right up his alley.

After equipping the full set, Yang Tian saw the world ranking again and saw that the name Di Wang had reached number 1. Not only that, his score was almost doubled the number 2 spot. Yang Tian was very pleased, now he only needed to wait for the battleground to open for the Pantheon event. He believed that even if the other people get 4th rank, they wouldn't be his match.

He also didn't plan on telling Ye Ling this since she would soon know and would ask him herself. The hours was getting late so Yang Tian was about to go out to have dinner before he received a Communication Talisman from Su Yue Er. The content was short, he should come and see her immediately.

Yang Tian chuckled, when he went to his room earlier, he had set up a formation that blocked her from coming in so this was her solution. To waste a Communication Talisman, it seemed that she had something urgent to tell him. Yang Tian went downstairs and saw that Su Yue Er was waiting for him, her face was very serious.

- Yang Tian, Liao Mei has left.

- I know.

- I've heard that when she left, she also carried a sword with her.

- I didn't think your intelligence network was so skillful.

Su Yue Er was so angry that she felt her lungs bursting. Even since she and Liao Mei got here, the Devil Sect and the Heavenly Mountain Sacred Peak had left people observing the place. As soon as Liao Mei left, she was spotted. Not only that she didn't even concealed the black sword in her hand. This information was immediately  given to Su Yue Er and she went to find Yang Tian but couldn't reach him.

- What kind of benefit did she give you? Why did you give her the Blood Devil Sword.

Yang Tian shook his head:

- She didn't give me anything. She said she had to obtain the Blood Devil Sword by any means so I gave it to her.

- You...

Su Yue Er so furious that she couldn't even utter a word. Did this guy think that the Blood Devil Sword was a toy and he could give it to whoever he wanted? Not even mentioning it's frightening power, she heard that it also concealed a hidden card of the Devil Sect. If the Devil Sect made a comeback then the world would be in chaos. Not only the Shrouded Continent but even Earth would be swept in. When that happened there was no telling how many people would die.

If she didn't know how powerful Yang Tian was, she would have beaten a lesson into him. While Su Yue Er had still not calm down, there was another Communication Talisman that flew in from outside. After Su Yue Er saw the content, her face changed from astonished to frightened and then disbelief. She looked at Yang Tian:

- Yang Tian, let's set aside Liao Mei's situation for a moment. You must answer this seriously for me.

- Alright.

Su Yue Er threw the Communication Talisman to Yang Tian and said coldly:

- Is this true?

Yang Tian looked through the Communication Talisman, it contained information on his "identity":

- You only know of this now? The Dark Society had known this 3 days ago.

Yang Tian didn't know that the Devil Sect hated the Heavenly Mountain Sacred Peak the most so they refused to sell the information to them. The Heavenly Mountain Sacred Peak had to buy it off the other powers so they were a couple of days late.

- You don't need to care about that. Just answer my question.

Yang Tian admitted it refreshingly:

- That's right, I've deliberately leaked this information. Didn't you guys want to know my background?

Su Yue Er stared unblinkingly at Yang Tian and no one knew what she was thinking, After a while she said:

- If it was like that then you must be a Nascent Soul Grand Cultivator.
