Chapter 28 - Dark Lady

Yang Tian didn't care about about the Li Clan. After getting some dinner, Yang Tian was about to head home until he got a call from Ye Ling. He said jokingly:

- What's wrong? We've been apart for a day and you've already missed me?

Ye Ling was bit sad so she wasn't in the mood to joke with Yang Tian:

- I didn't think you were the kind of person that like to stroke his own ego.

- This is not stroking my own ego. It's just that my charms are to irresistible and the ladies can't help but longed after me. Sometimes I only wished that the heavens would reduce my manliness, reduce my talent so that ladies of the world not be so heartbroken. After all, there's only one me and I can't reciprocate all of their feelings.

Ye Ling was speechless. Was Yang Tian really a maniac that just loves himself?

Seeing that Ye Ling didn't respond, Yang Tian thought that she was taken aback by his bravado and didn't continue to joke:

- So what's the occasion for this call?

Ye Ling said sadly:

- Yang Tian, I have to go.

Yang Tian was surprised, he had plans to visit her tomorrow to "heat up" their budding romance.

- Where are you going?

- I'm just here to visit with my family for a couple of days. It's time to go home.

Yang Tian remembered that she mentioned this last time and smiled:

- It's fine then. Aren't you going to move here next year for university? We have plenty of times to meet again.

Ye Ling was incensed:

- Yang Tian, I didn't think you were someone like this. You want me gone so that you can go chase some other girls don't you? I've sincerely misjudged you.

This time it was Yang Tian's turn to be speechless. Not mentioning that there relationship was not at that level, he never once mentioned any other women. Seeing that Yang Tian was quiet, Ye Ling laughed:

- How is it? You think you are the only one that can tease other people?

Yang Tian was silent, this little lady sure likes to hold a grudge. Seeing that Yang Tian was still silent, Ye Ling questioned:

- Hey, you're not mad are you? A man shouldn't so petty.

Yang Tian had an even bigger headache now and coughed:

- It's nothing, where are you now? I'll come and see you off.

Ye Ling was touched when she heard that:

- It's fine, I'm on my way back already. We'll meet again.

- Yes, we will.

Yang Tian turned off his phone. It looks like he would have to reassesed his plans. After thinking for a moment, he remembered that instructor Zhao had returned. Yang Tian resolved to go to class tomorrow and might as well see if she's as pretty as in the pictures. Driving home, Yang Tian felt something wrong and after focusing for a bit and said:

- Illusion array.

Someone had set up an illusion array right in front of his house, did they want to attack him? This wouldn't do as he didn't want to move. He flicked his finger and a beam of light shot out. The illusion array shattered and a figure emerged. It was a young woman in white clothes, a cloth veil and wielding a sword. Yang Tian immediately recognized her: "Heavenly Mountain Saintess, so soon?".
Opposite of her were 3 people on black with devilish qi emanating out of them. Leading them was a woman with a mask that covered half her face, her hands were holding a octagonal shape item. Just by looking at her face, one can tell that she's a great beauty. Behind her were two people in black cloaks that covered their whole body. It's not hard to tell that these people were from the Devil Sect.
As Yang Tian shattered the illusion array and stepped in, the two side stopped. The rules for the Cultivators was that when they are fighting, mortals cannot see them. Even high grade Cultivators had too establish an illusion array to shroud their presence. If not they would be hunted down by the cultivation community. The Dark Lady looked at Su Yue Er:

- Looks like you are lucky today.

Su Yue Er didn't back down:

- What can you do to me? The Eight Devil Disk was only so so in the end.

The Dark Lady was incensed and was about to conjure up another illusion array before Yang Tian stopped her. He frowned and looked at the Eight Devil Disk. It was a very famous Dharmic treasure but the one in the Dark Lady's hand was only a replica. Yet it still possessed tremedous power.
The Eight Devil Disk was true to it's name, it held the soul of 8 Cultivators that cultivated 8 different type of qi. In a battle, the wielder and used the amalgamation of soul and have access to those 8 qi. Of course the demand on the body was high since normal cultivators can only use 1 type of spiritual qi and a genius might be able to use several. The Eight Devil Disk  that allowed the user to use 9 different types was very heaven defying.

Sensing the power inside the disk, Yang Tian can see that it contain: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, Speed, Kinetic, Protection - eight different type of force. Yang Tian looked at the Dark Lady:

- The Eight Devil Disk is indeed a good Dharmic treasure but you can't fully unleashed it's power.

She was angry after hearing Yang Tian and looked at him:

- What do you know about the Eight Devil Disk. I've been using it since I was young and no one knew better about it than me.

- So you can use two of the spiritual qi at the same time?

The Dark Lady frowned, this was something that can be done in theory and she had tried it before. But using 2 qi simultaneously was very taxing and could cause massive backlash to the user.

- Are you saying you can?

Yang Tian was a bit disdainful:

- You think I can't do something that simple? The original Eight Devil Disk was an ancient Immortal Artifact that allowed one to use 9 spiritual qi at a time. The one in your hand is only a replica but it's not impossible to do it as well.

Su Yue Er frowned, was the Eight Devil Disk really that powerful? The Dark Lady looked at Yang Tian:

- If you can show me how to do it, I would owe you a favor.

Yang Tian was taken aback:

- I don't think I have anything I need your help with.

- You are being targeted by many powers. If you agree to help me, I can chase them off.

Not waiting for Yang Tian to answer, Su Yue Er yelled:

- Yang Tian, she's from the Devil Sect, you shouldn't trust her. Not only that, their goal today is the Blood Devil Sword. They won't stop until they get it.

Yang Tian smiled and looked at Su Yue Er:

- Are you actually concerned for me?

Su Yue Er heard that and angrily said:

- Who's concerned about you. I just don't want to Blood Devil Sword to fall into their hands.

- Was that the only thing?

Su Yue Er was taken aback, it seemed that she had forgotten something important. She said with a flustered tone:

- Oh right, my master want to invite you as a guest to our Heavenly Mountain Sacred Peak.

The Dark Lady shouted:

- Su Yue Er, don't think that our Devil Sect is afraid of your Heavenly Mountain Sacred Peak. Aside from us, no one can take him away.

The atmosphere was very hostile. Su Yue Er brandished her  Heavenly Mountain Divine Sword and the 3 other person was very on edge. They had the numbers but they had already tasted the power of the Heavenly Mountain Divine Sword. They were confident in fighter her to a draw but winning was very difficult.

Yang Tian coughed:

- I haven't even said anything yet so you guys shouldn't make any assumption. I'm not going with anyone so don't waste your time.

Were they joking? He had a lot of matters to handle here and a lot of beauties need his "saving". Su Yue Er and the Dark Lady were great beauties but he can't just abandon the rest because of them. Furthermore, if this relationship continues, they would come into contact more in the future. There was no need to rush.

Su Yue Er bit her lips, she knew that Yang Tian was very strong and although she wanted to duel him, she knew she had no chance to win. The Dark Lady wasn't like Su Yue Er, she hadn't witness Yang Tian's skill. There were some rumors but she felt that they were overblown. She said to Yang Tian solemnly:

- If you are not willing to come, I'll have to cripple you and retrieve the Blood Devil Sword. We'll also bring you back to the Devil Sect to atone for your crimes.
