Chapter 108 - Love and Career

Papa Zhao was a simple worker so he didn't have a habit of embellishing his words and just got straight to the point. It wasn't clear what kind of stupid expression Yang Tian was making but Papa Zhao thought that he didn't understand and repeated the question:

- I want to ask you, do you like our daughter?

After pausing for a bit, Papa Zhao looked at Yang Tian smiled:

- After that whole affair, Xin-er had always kept a distance with other men. I've thought that she would spend her entire life like that but luckily you showed up. Maybe it's because you are her student that she wasn't so adverse to you.

A great man doesn't bother with a petty man so Yang Tian didn't take this to heart.

At this time he was about to blow to a fuse cap. During the entire meal, whenever Yang Tian wanted to talk to Zhao Wu Xin, Zhao Hang immediately spoke up to interrupt him.

Mama and Papa Zhao looked at each other and smiled helplessly. Papa Zhao immediately said in a stern voice:

- Xiao Hang, go and do your homework. You have a test coming up don't you?

- But we just finished dinner.

- You've already rested for half an hour, go and study.

Zhao Hang was seemingly very scared of Papa Zhao and sulkily walked inside. When he passed by Yang Tian he even gave him a glare.

With the third wheel finally gone, Yang Tian immediately seized on his chance. However things didn't go the way he wanted since at that moment, a flash of warning sounded within Yang Tian's head. He immediately stood up and said his goodbye:

- Uncle, aunty, Instructor Zhao. I have some urgent business to attend to. I'd like to do this again sometimes.

As he said that, Yang Tian bolted to the door without waiting for anyone to answer him. Papa Zhao and Mama Zhao looked at each other dazedly as they didn't even know what happened. Zhao Wu Xin looked at the two of them and said:

- Mom, dad, I know you want to match-make me and Yang Tian. However it would never work between us.

- Why? Is something wrong with him? I feel that he has very good character and very talented too. He also likes you a lot.

Zhao Wu Xin shook her head:

- You won't understand, our paths were never meant to crossed in the first place.
