Chapter 87 - Blood Formation

Mama My looked happily at Yang Tian:

- I was asking about the company that you've established.

- So it's about that. That's right, I did established a fashion company called Widdershins¹. We've already invited the super star Ling Ya Qi as a representative.

Mu Wu Han heard that and was very surprised:

- It's that Ling Ya Qi? She's very famous but I've heard that she had refused to be any company's representative to avoid damaging her brand. How did you manage to invite her?

Yang Tian tried to be modest:

- It's was pure luck. A friend of mine is an acquaintance of hers.

Mama Mu had a proud expression as she looked at the old man. Mu Wu Han might not understood but how could she not know the purpose of her father's inviting Li Xiang here. In her heart Yang Tian was the number one suitor.

The elder saw that the situation wasn't going well and turned to look at Li Xiang. He wanted Li Xiang to show off a bit. Li Xiang immediately understood and said:

- I've heard of that company before. Although it was established not long ago, its reputation is pretty good. I wonder if you are willing to cooperate with me?

- Cooperate with you?

- That's right. The Li Clan have businesses in many industries. In recent years, we've also had a foot into the fashion industry. With the Li Clan's help, I'm confident that your company will meet with many success.

If a regular person heard words like that, they would go mad with joy. However Yang Tian never cared about how the company would do. If it did well then good, if not then whatever. To him money was something that he had but it was fine even if he didn't have any. Yang Tian answered decisively:

- That's not necessary. In my perspective, my company is still in its infancy so there's no need to cooperate with any other entity.

Mu Wu Han slightly kicked Yang Tian in the foot forcing him to turn to her:

- Yang Tian, you should think about this more carefully. I've heard that the Li Clan possessed tremendous power. If you cooperate with them then your company would have more chance to grow.

- Wu Han, I understand your good intention but worry not. I already have a plan of development for my company. Right now we don't need to expand our portfolio.

Li Xiang feigned regret:

- That's a shame then.

His main goal was to flaunt his background to Mu Wu Han and not to cooperate with Yang Tian. In his eyes, although Yang Tian was powerful, it was only in terms of martial abilities. Li Xiang was confident that he was above in every other aspect.

It's a shame that Li Xiang didn't know that Mu Wu Han hated rich young master. After hearing that he was from the Li Clan, there was a bit of disdain born inside her psyche. Yang Tian knew this and sneered inside his heart. Such a misinformed dumb-ass wanted to compete with him, what an idiot.

After that, no matter how much Li Xiang tried to start a conversation, Mu Wu Han either pretended not hear or give short answers. After the meal was over, a discouraged Li Xiang went back first. The elder saw that and looked at Yang Tian:

- You should go home. I have some matter that I need to discuss with them.

Seeing Mu Wu Han and her mother here, Yang Tian didn't wanted to make a scene. After saying his goodbye, he turned to leave. Mama Mu immediately said:

- Wu Han, why don't you see Yang Tian out.

Mu Wu Han heard that and accompanied Yang Tian outside. Mama Mu looked at the elder:

- Father, I know that you want to match-make Li Xiang with Wu Han. However she already had Yang Tian inside her hear. Not only that, I think Yang Tian is an outstanding young man, not at all inferior to that Li Xiang.

The old man gawked at her:

- How could he compare to Li Xiang. He's a person from the Li Clan and his future is limitless. If she can marry him then Wu Han could live her entire life in bliss.

Mama Mu sighed:

- I've had similar thoughts to you in the past. However didn't that person abandoned me for another woman in the end?

The elder stuttered a bit:

- You shouldn't compare Li Xiang with that bastard. Since the first time I saw him, I thought he wasn't a good person but you were adamant in choosing him.

- It's useless to continue to talk about this. Just let Wu Han choose her own path.

The elder also sighed, mama Mu's situation had haunted him for a long time. He relented and let her do what she wonted to do. Now he only wanted them to have a happy and fruitful life.

Mu Wu Han saw Yang Tian to the door before he turned to ask her:

- Why haven't I ever heard of you mentioning your grandfather before now? Why did he suddenly wanted to meet me?

- I've only knew about this recently. It turned out that although grandpa was angry at my mother, he had always secretly helped her. He restaurant was also opened with his money. As for why grandfather wanted to meet you,  I am not sure myself.

It seemed that this grandfather cared a lot about his daughter and granddaughter. Yang Tian changed his view towards the old man. He wasn't as despicable as he seemed. Yang Tian looked at Mu Wu Han and smiled:

- You might not know but I do. He intentionally invited Li Xiang here to introduce him to you. He only invited me to let me know my place and withdraw.

- What kind of nonsense are you saying? Grandfather would never do something like that. Don't misunderstand.

- Fine, maybe I misunderstood him. You don't need to see me out anymore, go back inside. Anyhow, you shouldn't associate with that Li Xiang, he's not a good person.

- Humph, who I make friends with is none of your concern.

Mu Wu Han said that and immediately turned back inside. Yang Tian didn't saw her smile and thought that she was angry at him. He muttered while frowning:

- Did I say something wrong?

Yang Tian was about to head home before detecting devilish qi as well as blood qi emanating out of the center of the city. The devilish and blood qi was very weak so he guessed that they were unintentionally leaked out. It was still early so Yang Tian decided to go and take a look. When he arrived at the place, Yang Tian detected two dark figure erecting a large illusion array on top of a skyscraper.

He never intended to intervene in this matter so he just stood aside and watched. The cultivation of these two weren't high so it took them a while. After they finished, the two arranged a bunch of crimson rock in strange pattern. After they were done with that, one of them said:

- The Blood Formation is finished. Now we only need to activate it and we can begin to absorb blood qi.

The other person nodded and slit his wrist. A stream of fresh blood showered the formation. It flashed with red halo then disappeared inside the illusion array. The surrounding scenery returned to normal again. The two didn't delay any further and immediately left.

Yang Tian approached and observed the formation for a moment and immediately discovered its usage. The Blood Formation, used to absorb the blood essence of the people around it. The speed was very slow so no one would feel anything initially. However after an extended amount of time, symptoms like dizziness, drowsiness would appear but nothing to major. Since the speed was very slow, it was very hard to detect.

This formation was commonly used by cultivation sects that cultivate in blood essence. It was usually placed in crowded to supply the user with blood essence for cultivation. Yang Tian slightly waved his hand and a flame flew out and hit the formation. It flashed with red light before disintegrating.

Although this formation wouldn't affect the place too much, it made him uncomfortable. Furthermore, Yang Tian felt that this had something to do with that Blood Devil. It seemed that the Devil Sect had a hand in the resurrection of the Blood Devil. They had likely become his subordinate.

However none of this had anything to do with Yang Tian. If that guy doesn't come looking for trouble with him then he wouldn't waste his time with him.

1. So the name of the company is a bit odd. The original name is Lạc Nhật Phi Thiên which I think literally translates to Forgetting the Sun, Flying through the Heaven. Super weird name for a company or I misunderstood it since a word in Han-Vietnamese have multiple meanings and this is the one I chose since it made the most sense. Anyhow I interpreted this as flying in the opposite direction of the sun. Which is where Widdershins comes in. It's not the best translation but it's a better name than just keeping the English pronunciation of the phrase. Don't worry, the name will rarely ever pop up again.↩
