Chapter 124 - Li Xiang's Invitation

After waiting for Li Pan to skim through all the novels, Yang Tian asked:

- What do you think? Is there anything in there for this?

Li Pan shook his head:

- It's not bad actually. I've seen some stuff that can be applied here. Look at this one, the first thing you should do is to make them fall deeply in love with you. It's best that you get them pregnant. Then even if you come out that you've been seeing other people, they won't be able to leave you. After that just get a large place to have large wedding and you'll be good.

Yang Tian didn't think that Li Pan would go with this method. It sounded good on paper. However that was all hypothetical and Yang Tian immediately crossed this method out:

- What if they couldn't take it and do something rash? Besides I'm not some sort of stud. I can't just impregnate them all at the same time. I'm not really that into children either.

Seeing Yang Tian reject that idea, Li Pan could only search for another. Even he thought that method was a bit of a stretch and would only work in fiction.

- I got it, in this novel, the main character sacrificed himself to save the other female main characters. In the end they have to put aside their differences and come together to save the MC. After that they all bonded and accept one another.

Yang Tian thought about it for a bit before shaking his head:

- That is impossible, I don't think there are any out there that could threaten my life. Even if that person does exist, then even if they all band together, they wouldn't even scratch him.

- You can pretend.

- No, they'll figure stuff like this out sooner rather than later. When they do figure it out, I can't even imagine the consequences.

Li Pan massaged his temple and shook his head:

- These two are the best that I've found. The rest are all trash. The decision is up to you.

The two fell into silence. Yang Tian recognized another startling fact. Having overwhelming power is not always a good thing. He also wanted to use strategy and subterfuge here but there weren't any villains worthy to be his opponent.

Seeing Yang Tian's gloominess, Li Pan tried to change the subject:

- Oh right, our school is planning a field trip for sophomores and juniors. I've heard that there's a company sponsoring it. Are you gonna go?

- No.

Yang Tian answered decisively. He wasn't in the mood to care about such trivial things.

There's a saying that no one knows you better than your parent. However Yang Tian lost his parents long ago so the person that knew him the most at this time is Li Pan. That guy now had a very unbecoming expression as he said:

- I've heard that Instructor Zhao Wu Xin would accompany us this time. Didn't you say that your relationship with her is at a bottleneck? This is a good chance to breakthrough.

Hearing Li Pan say that, Yang Tian paid a little bit more attention. However after some careful consideration, he shook his head once again:

- That won't do. If the entire school is participating, Qin Xue and Mu Wu Han will also be in it. What if my presence cause a conflict between them?

- I don't know about Mu Wu Han but Qin Xue said that she won't be going. I've heard that she had something to do in the capital for a couple of days.

- Is that so?

Seeing Yang Tian still hesitating, Li Pan continue to throw in another big bait:

- Think a little bit Yang Tian. If Qin Xue and Mu Wu Han met each other then their would surely be conflict. However Instructor Zhao Wu Xin is different. She's more matured and she has experience losses romantically. Her thinking must me be more mature. You should take this chance and create a good relationship between the two of them.

- If they both accept each other then everything else after that would be much more simple. There's a first time for everything and I think you should create that first time from Zhao Wu Xin and Mu Wu Han. After all, they both have "Wu" in their name.

- What does that have to do with anything?

Although Yang Tian said that outwardly, inwardly he already agreed with Li Pan's plan. Maybe this was his chance to make a breakthrough.

- Alright, I'll join in this little outing. But I do find something very peculiar. Why did you insist on me coming along?

Li Pan already switched to serious mode:

- Do you who the company sponsoring us this time belongs to?

Li Pan's expression made Yang Tian a bit cautious. This guy rarely makes such a face:

- Who?

- Li Xiang.

- So it's him again.

Recently Li Xiang had seemingly given up and stopped bothering Mu Wu Han. This was sign that Yang Tian was winning. Because of this, Yang Tian didn't bother with the man anymore. Li Pan continued:

- Don't you feel that this is strange? Why on earth would Li Xiang suddenly wants to host an outing for our school. On top of that it's only for sophomore and juniors. From where I stand, this is definitely aiming at you.

- You mean he wants to come between me and Mu Wu Han.

Li Pan didn't say anything and just stirred his coffee before bringing the cup to his mouth for a sip. He was trying to looked like a sagely figure. Unfortunately this action, paired with his outward appearance only made it look funnier. Yang Tian chuckled and patted Li Pan's head:

- No need to act mysterious ini front of me, just tell me what you are going to tell me.

Seeing Yang Tian in no mood to indulge in his game, Li Pan looked heartbroken:

- You didn't think that I look cool just now. I...

A smack rang out and Li Pan knew that he should continue on the topic:

- I'm guessing that he is mostly aiming at you. With what I've heard of him, he must wants your life more than anything else. Beauties are important but to him, his position in life matters much more. So this field trip might endanger everyone involve. Too kill you, I believe that Li Xiang won't hesitate to sacrifice a few people.

- So you main goal of wanting me along is to protect you. How considerate of you.

Yang Tian completely disregarded Li Xiang's little plot. This wasn't something that was worth his time. Could a speck of dust fill an entire ocean? Such naive thinking.

Li Pan grinned:

- I mean it's hitting two birds with one stone. You can use this opportunity to enact a strategy that'll bring the women together. Who knows, you might even find unexpected success.

This last thing that Li Pan said was of especial interest to Yang Tian. He was right, if the opportunity was taken advantage off properly, that hard to solve problem might just have a solution.

- Panzi, not bad.

- You are too kind, you and I are birds of the same feather.

- Is that so? Do you need me to find you some more wives then?

Li Pan heard this and couldn't help but panicked. He remembered Li Wu's kind but scary when mad personality and couldn't help but break out in cold sweat:

- Big brother Yang Tian, I beg you not to do that. You shouldn't tear down someone else's familial happiness.

Yang Tian looked smug:

- Didn't you say that you and I are similar? What did you say - "birds of the same feather"?

- How could that be? I'm just a minor character in all of this. Getting a beauty like Xiao Wu is enough more me. How could I possibly dream big like big brother Yang Tian. You are the moonlight in the sky and I'm just some back alley streetlight...

- Stop.

Yang Tian couldn't take it anymore. This Li Pan's way of kissing up to him made his skin crawl. The two chatted about a couple of inconsequential things before leaving.

The hour wasn't young so Yang Tian headed to a restaurant for some dinner before coming home.

Nearing his house, Yang Tian saw a fairly luxurious car parked in front of it. Using his spiritual sense to swept through the car, Yang Tian quickly ascertain who was inside.

Li Xiang got out of the care and smiled at Yang Tian:

- I've waited a bit for you. Now, are you interested in having a drink with me?

Yang Tian was taken aback:

- A drink?
