Yang Tian immediately retreated back. After the fire dragon devoured all the fire, it charged towards him. As Yang Tian fought back, he began to feel more and more strange. The fire dragon didn't gain any strength after absorbing the fire. Was it all just flashy effects?
After defending himself for a while, Yang Tian was certain that nothing changed so he began his counter attack. The fire dragon's HP and its clone were small to begin with so they were quickly killed by Yang Tian. With fire dragon destroyed, Yang Tian's points rose by 1000 but he wasn't happy at all. This is because in front of him, a gigantic fireball was slowly falling towards him.
- I knew something was up. Didn't think that a 4th rank Dream Beast would have this type of skill.
Yang Tian immediately used Silent Time and ran as far away as possible. After a while, a large firestorm engulfed him but since he was far out of the lethal range, the damage was minimal. Yang Tian checked his points again - 1240 points, decently high. Right now he only needed to kill some low rank Dream Beasts to secure his place at the top of the leaderboard. With the 4th rank Dream Beast possessing that kind of frightening skill, Yang Tian didn't think that many people could kill it.
Everything went even smoother than Yang Tian thought. He was lucky enough to run into a field with large amounts of low rank Dream Beast. Although their ranks were low, there were plenty of them. After everything was said and done, Yang Tian got 1470 points and came out on top of the 2nd day event. Because of this, he immediately went through to the next round.
After the event ended, Yang Tian once again browse the forums for news. This was one of his habits. The forum today was even more abuzz than yesterday. A post was written with this topic:
- 4th rank Dream Beasts - a trap to eliminate players.
The author of the post was another 4th rank player. According to his story, after killing a 4th rank basilisk, it immediately turned into a poisonous orb and he was quickly killed by the poison. The post had many other people who was sympathetic to the OP and there were even few other 4th rank amongst them. There were even calls to file a complaint to the publisher to get an answer.
The publisher was also quick to respond with a another post titled:
- 4th rank Dream Beasts are not impossible missions.
The post contained the leaderboard and on top was Yang Tian with 1470 points. Below him was a player named Kai with 1290 points. The publisher was quick to soothe the other players:
- Eliminating a 4th rank Dream Beast and surviving is very difficult but not impossible. The prime example is players Di Wang and Kai.
- The people that were killed by the 4th rank Dream Beasts are not eliminated but they would only receive 300 points. This would barely qualify them for then even tomorrow and they would have to crawl their way up from the bottom.
Yang Tian read the post and was inwardly praising the publisher. Their solution to the problem was very good. They were 4th rank in the end so climbing up from the bottom wouldn't be something too hard for them.
He took a glance at Ling Ya Qi and saw that she was still engrossed in her game. Ling Ya Qi had a knack for this and she was already use to the game after only around 2 hours. Although her movements were still slow, she already developed her own strategy and style and was building her structures accordingly. Yang Tian waited until Ling Ya Qi finished her game before saying:
- It's around 9pm, do you want to go back now?
- No, I'm still having fun, we can go back later.
- Alright, we can duo online then.
- Online?
- That's right. Playing against the bot can get stale after a while. We should play against other people instead.
Ling Ya Qi heard that and was a bit interested. However she was still unsure:
- I've only started playing, what if...
Yang Tian was confident:
- With me here, you don't have to worry.
Seeing Yang Tian's confidence, Ling Ya Qi also agreed to it. The two quickly found a match and immediately began. Yang Tian was playing the game and teaching Ling Ya Qi at the same time:

Yang Tian silently lamented the lost opportunity. He'd have to be faster next time.

The two quickly entered the fray again. They played until the owner said the cafe was closing. Yang Tian and Ling Ya Qi got up and leave. As they breath in the fresh air from outside, Ling Ya Qi turned back to Yang Tian:
- Thank you, I truly did enjoy myself today.
- No need to thank me. Tomorrow evening I can bring you to even more fun places.
Ling Ya Qi shook her head:
- I have to prepare for a show tomorrow afternoon.
- Didn't you say that you are taking two days of break?
- I said two days but that doesn't mean two full days. After this tour, I'll take a break from showbiz for a while.
Yang Tian heard that and asked:
- I think you are making a good choice. When does your tour end? We'll meet up and I'll bring you to all sort of places.
- My schedule is full. If nothing changes then my tour would end sometime this year. No need to worry about me. Don't you have other beauties that you need to attend to?
It was as if she had just doused Yang Tian in cold water and he was silent. She didn't need to make it difficult for him during this romantic atmosphere. Ling Ya Qi saw Yang Tian's silence and was a bit annoyed inside.
- Alright, it's getting late. I should head back.
- I'll bring you home then.
Ling Ya Qi nodded and the two walked back. They didn't say another word to each other on the way back. Yang Tian saw that Ling Ya Qi's mood wasn't good so he decided to be quiet. He couldn't help but thought:

After he brought her home, Yang Tian headed home himself. Ling Ya Qi looked at Yang Tian's disappearing figure and sighed:
- Everything about you is good. It's a shame that you are too much of a womanizer. It seems like we could only be friends after all.
Yang Tian came home and lied on his bed. He was about to go to sleep before his phone rang. It was Ye Wen Tian calling:
- Yang Tian, where are you now? Why couldn't I reach you before?
When he was out with Ling Ya Qi, Yang Tian turned off his phone. Who would want to be bothered when going out with a beautiful woman.
- I'm back at Bei Jiang City, is there something urgent?
- That's right, that guy has acted once again. This time it's at a small town not far from the capital. Everyone in the town was killed and their blood was completely drained. We think that we should alert the other powers to track down this person.

Yang Tian's face blackened. What he said before was only an excuse to visit Su Yue Er and Liao Mei. After thinking it through, he felt that it was unnecessary. He'd meet them one way or another so there was no need to drag in more nuisance.
