Chapter 5 - The Hospital Situation

Looking at Yang Tian's surprised face, Li Pan said:
 

- You know her?
 

- No, she just looks familiar. I don't know where I've seen her before.
 

- So it's like that. It's no surprise that you've seen her before. She's the scion of that Qin Clan, her father is the CEO of Qin Long Conglomerate. I've heard that he is worth around 50 billions. She also appeared on television and newspaper a couple of times.
 

Seeing that Yang Tian was focused on the pictures, Li Pan slapped his shoulder:
 

- Why? Do you liker her? You should really forget about it. Us and her are not people of the same world. Only Mu Wu Han and Zhao Wu Xin are our target. I'll let you in on a little secret, Zhou Xue Min is basically not her match, he's simply an ugly toad trying to eat swan meat.
 

- Isn't she just a bit wealthy? It's not that scary.
 

- Haizzz, I can't tell you the specific.
 

Looking at Li Pan's sigh, it seems like the Qin Clan was not that simple. However what if they were much more scary? Yang Tian wouldn't even give them the time of day. He was convinced that this was fate giving him women so how could he let go. Looking at Li Pan playing the sage and giving advice, he couldn't help but ask:
 

- You seem to know a lot about her.

Looking at Li Pan unwillingness to talk about it, Yang Tian didn't further his line of questioning. He felt that this Li Pan's clan was also not simple. After chatting with Li Pan about beauties, an elderly professor came in and introduced some new rules and class time. After that they were dismissed early.
 

Yang Tian packs his bag and prepare to leave. He wanted to go and see Qin Xue's situation, cure her and build up feelings between the two. As he was about to leave, Li Pan called out:
 

- Yang Tian, the entire class is planning a get together at 6pm at Hai Nan Bar, you should join us.
 

- I'll be there.
 

Using the spiritual qi inside Qin Xue, Yang Tian drove straight to the hospital. On top of the gate was a large sign: "Huan Wu Hospital". With the sea of people coming in and out of the hospital, Yang Tian lost a lot of time trying to park but eventually he managed.
 

Walking into the hospital and going straight to the 6th floor labelled: "Recovery Area", Yang Tian felt the spiritual qi emanating from a room. He scanned the room with his spiritual sense and noticed that beside Qin Xue, there's a doctor examining her, a middle aged man holding on to a beautiful middle aged woman and a young man standing in the corner. The woman was still crying and Yang Tian deduce that this might be Qin Xue's mother white the young man was their bodyguard. After all, society is very complex and dangerous so many large clans have bodyguards to maintain their safety. This also cause the rise of many security companies.
 

The doctor scowls as he examined Qin Xue and after 15 minutes he turns around and said:
 

- Your daughter is stable, there's no threat to her life. But this kind of poison is very special, I'm not quite sure what it is. However it seems that someone is deliberately trying to harm her. Though the poison have been completely removed there are still residual effects, and this...
 

The middle aged woman could not bear it anymore and interrupts:
 

- Doctor, I beg you, save our daughter. Money is not an issue. She's still young, with her whole life ahead of her and nothing must happen to her.
 

The doctor shakes his head:
 

- It's not an issue of money. The poison is very strange. While it has been removed, it inflicted heavy damage. According to my diagnosis, she'll never walk again. I'm sorry, I've tried my best.
 

- No, this cannot be happening.
 

The middle aged woman cried and moaned and while the older gentleman was still holding on to her trying to be stoic, tears were streaming from his face. He knows that this doctor was one of best in the country and if he says that it can't be done then even if they bring her abroad for treatment, her chances aren't high.
 

- Doctor, I'm wondering is there any hope if we bring her to state of the art facilities abroad for treatment?
The doctor replied, shaking his head:
 

- I don't think so, the poison was very strong. Her entire lower body was affected and even though the poison is gone, her legs are unlikely to be usable. According to my knowledge of modern medicine, there are no cure.
 

Qin Zheng felt hopeless, the doctor in front of them was a very reputable doctor even on the world stage. If said no then the chances for a cure was very low. However, Qin Zheng still consoled his wife:
 

- Xiao Mei, don't worry. I will find a cure at all cost.

As he was holding Li Mei, he calls out to the young man:
 

- Call Old Hu over here for me.
 

10 minutes later, the young man brought an elderly gentleman. Qin Zheng told the old man:
 

- Help me investigate who poisoned Xue-er. I want him dead without burial. No, I want his family dead too.

The old man nodded and when on his way. Yang Tian, who at this time was shrouded by his Body Concealing Technique, stood outside and overheard everything. He frowns:
 

- Someone wants to kill her. It seems that this isn't as simple as accidental poisoning. However, with me here no one can harm her. Her father will probably protect her at all cost.

- Let's do this then. I'll attend the get together tonight and begin the plan tomorrow. I don't believe that I, Yang Tian, who have defeated hundreds of millions of ghosts and devils, can't defeat a mere woman.
