Chapter 104 - Absolute Strength

As the large door slide open , the three quickly stood to the side. A large fume of hot smoke that was tinged with explosive smell flew out of the room. After 10 minutes, when the smoke had all but dissipate, the three slowly walked in.

The room was still covered with thin layer of smoke and there were many concaves on the wall. There were even places where the wall showed sign of melting. Yang Tian was now hugging Ting Ting tightly and reassuring her:

- It's fine, everything has pass. We are okay.

Ting Ting still had her head buried in Yang Tian's chest. Although she wasn't harmed by the explosion, she was still frightened to death. Seeing the trio walked in once again, Yang Tian cracked a smiled and his killing intent was once again emitted:

- Are you hear to offer your head to me? Good. I hadn't even thought about how I would find you if you had escaped.

The three was frightened to their core. They couldn't believe what was in front of them. Even with all those bombs, Yang Tian didn't have so much as a scratch on him. Even Ting Ting, who was behind him didn't even have a speck of of dirt on her. Are Golden Core Cultivators that powerful?

The trio wanted to flee but they found that they couldn't lift their feet. Meng Lei had a furious and frightened expression as he looked at Yang Tian:

- Yang Tian, as a person, one must know to leave an exit behind. If not don't blame me for being evil.

- Is that so. I tell you something interesting. Everyone who had ever offended me always said that phrase. All of them are now in the Underworld waiting for reincarnation.

Yang Tian finished his sentence and lifted his finger. Three small fireballs appeared at his finger tips. Such small fireballs, even Qi Refining Disciples could do, but those gave the trio a life threatening feeling. Meng Lei roared out in desperation:

- Yang Tian, you forced my hand.

As he said that, he uttered strange sounds from his mouth. It seemed to be some sort of special language. Yang Tian was curious so he stopped to see what the man was up to. At this moment, Ting Ting suddenly moved. She hugged Yang Tian and kissed him.

It was a very sudden development but Yang Tian didn't push her away. When he was still enjoying the moment, a strange creature crawled from her throat into his body. Ting Ting then immediately pushed him away and retreated backwards.

Yang Tian looked at Ting Ting - who now had a face as cold as ice and standing in the corner, and then looked at Meng Lei:

- This is the hidden ace up your sleeve?

Meng Lei and the other two didn't have the killing intent weighing heavily on them, all stood up and looked at Yang Tian smugly:

- I bet the feeling of having the Heaven Devouring Gu eating away at your body is not a pleasant feeling. It's ranked at number three on the Gu Poison list. Although it hasn't fully matured but once it gets into your body, even a Golden Core Cultivator couldn only swallow his hatred and die.

Yang Tian pretended to be in pain and tried to sit down on the only chair in the room. His face paled as he looked at Meng Lei:

- So this was your plan all along. Before I die, can you at least tell me more about it?

Meng Lei heard Yang Tian begging him and his smugness deepened. Golden Core was the apex of this world but now a dying Golden Core was begging him.

- Being able to kill a Golden Core like yourself is a thing worth celebrating indeed. I'm in a good mood today so I don't mind telling you.

- As soon as Qing Wu failed to assassinate Ye Wen Tian and returned alive, we felt that something was wrong. With her strength, that mission was a death sentence. You think that with the strength of Heaven Slayer, she could escape if she broke through to Foundation Establishment? 

- As you've guessed by now, she was detained by us. We then used enhanced interrogation to get information on you. We were actually very afraid at the time. We didn't think that you have such a high position within the Dark Society. We guessed that you might even be the successor of the Dark Society President.

- However since we have already offended you, we knew that there was no turning back. So the only way out was to kill you. We altered part of Qing Wu's memory and then released her back to you knowing that you'd come to us.

"Memory altercation", after hearing out it, Yang Tian had an inexplicable feeling. He had lived in peace for so long so he had forgotten about such a low level spell. This was truly careless of him.

Meng Lei stopped a bit to enjoy Yang Tian's annoyance and then continued:

- Seeing Ye Wen Tian's deference to you, we guessed that you must be a Golden Core expert. Against such an expert, even if we poured all our might into it, we would never be able to kill you. So the decision was made to use her.

Meng Lei said that and then pointed to Ting Ting. Yang Tian looked at her with sorrowful expression. In the end, they were still enemies.

- She is one of yours?

- Yes but no. She was taken by us since she was a child to be raised as an assassin. However she had a good nature and not fit to be an assassin. In the harsh training environment, her personality fragmented and another her emerged. It was due to this personality that she survived the training period.

- You mean that she had Multiple Personality Disorder?

- You can say that.

Yang Tian's eyes lit up. So it was like that. She didn't deceived him. Meng Lei continued:

- Qing Wu and Ting Ting's meeting with you were all planned by us. To make sure that you weren't on guard with her, we hid her evil personality and let you meet the good one.

- We also hypnotized her so that she would fall deeply in love with you. According to our report about your personality, you'd never turn her away.

After hearing this, Yang Tian had a wry smile:

- It seems that you did your homework on me.

- Such a dangerous adversary, you think we wouldn't be careful? Everything after that you, you'd know better than I. So you can die peacefully now.

- Wait a minute, she was one of yours. When you locked her in here with me, you weren't afraid that she would die with me?

Meng Lei frowned, he felt a bit worried. It's been a long time yet Yang Tian was still not killed by the Heaven Devouring Gu. He was trying to buy time since if Yang Tian retaliated during this time, he would likely dragged them all to the grave.

- She was raised by us since she was a child. So what's wrong with her dying for us. If you can both die then nothing would be better. If she was the only one that died then that meant that you had sustain such injuries that you wouldn't even be able to save her. By then how could us three not be enough to handle you. In the situation when you both made it out alive, the Heaven Devouring Gu was the last resort.

- You've planned very carefully. However have you noticed something?

The three looked at each other and shook their heads. Meng Lei thought that Yang Tian was trying to scare them:

- What?

Yang Tian smiled and lightly stood up. His face returned to normal and he looked at them provokingly:

- Don't you feel strange? All this time had passed and with the Heaven Devouring Gu inside my body, yet I am not dead.

The three saw the scene before them and was once again frightened to death. Meng Lei said in a shaking tone:

- The Heaven Devouring Gu doesn't have any effect on you?

Without answering them, Yang Tian opened his mouth and spat out a monstrous looking bug. It had three mouths situated in three different places. Using a water orb to washed his mouth, Yang Tian shook his head:

- That was actually disgusting. Alright, now you can all die.

Meng Lei suddenly roared out:

- Ting Ting, attack.

Ting Ting, who had been standing silent on the sideline all this time, immediately brandished a pair of short sabers and charged at Yang Tian. Meng Lei and the other two didn't even pay attention to them and quickly turned to escape. Ting Ting was only a mortal so how long could she buy for them?

Yang Tian flicked his finger and a small wisp of blue qi flew right to the middle Ting Ting's forehead and disappeared. She dropped the sabers on the ground and Yang Tian immediately caught her. He once again put his hand up and three small fireball flew towards the escaping trio. Very quickly, bone-chilling scream rang out from beyond the door.

Yang Tian didn't kill them immediately. He wanted them to feel immense pain before they died. Consider it him taking revenge on behalf of Ting Ting.

Seeing Ting Ting passed out in his embrace, Yang Tian erected a barrier. He wanted to cure her disorder.
