Chapter 56 - Old Acquaintance

Yang Tian arrived at Tian Hai Restaurant and looked for the room that Biao Zheng Long booked. When he stepped inside, there were 4 sets of eyes directly on him. Aside from Biao Zheng Long and Chu Ci, there were 2 women. One of them was Ling Ya Qi and the other must be her manager.

Yang Tian smiled, nodded and then sat in the middle seat, opposite of Ling Ya Qi. The manager asked:

- You are?

Biao Zheng Long quickly responded:

- This is young master Yang, the fashion company is his.

The manager was evaluating Yang Tian. She felt that he was too young and didn't put too much faith in this. After all, being the representative of a company will affect the brand of a star, especially a super star like Ling Ya Qi. If something unfortunate happened, it would affect her image. She still maintained a smiling face and looked at Yang Tian:

- So it's young master Yang, I'm wondering how old you are this year and which Yang Clan do you belong to.

Calling himself young master Yang must mean that he was a young master of a wealthy clan. But according to her information, there were only 2-3 Yang Clan in the country and they were all mid and small scale clans.

Yang Tian also knew that she wanted to investigate his background and responded:

The manager thought: "So it was just a rich guy trying to go into business. It seems that we've wasted our time here. Why did the president said to pay attention to this offer?"

- We are very sorry, you are a new company and everything is still not stable yet. If something happens it'll affect the image of Ya Qi. So we'd have to decline this offer.

Yang Tian was still smiling:

- Wait a minute, you still haven't asked miss Ya Qi's opinion, why reject it so fast?

- I agree to cooperate.

The manager hadn't finished the sentence before the quiet Ling Ya Qi spoke up. The manager was taken aback and looked at Ling Ya Qi inquisitively. Ling Ya Qi didn't pay any attention to her and looked towards Biao Zheng Long:

- You must be Biao Zheng Long, uncle Biao.

Ever since he walked in, Biao Zheng Long just said there was another person and never introduced himself. Seeing Ling Ya Qi addressed him made him a bit surprised:

- That's me, is Ling Bai still well?

- My father is very well, he wanted to me send his regards. I've heard that you were childhood friends.

- We haven't seen each other for 20 years. It seems that his still remembered this old friend.

Yang Tian and the manager was very surprised, they didn't expect this layer of connection. No wonder Biao Zheng Long said that this deal would go through. It seemed that he wanted to surprise Yang Tian.

Ling Ya Qi looked at Yang Tian:

- Just based on your previous relationship, I know this deal will pan out well. Not only that, I also want to know more about this young master Yang.

- We will more opportunities to meet in the future and you'll know more about me. It's getting late, let's order some food.

Biao Zheng Long nooded, and pressed a button under the table. Immediately a server entered the room:

- What do you need dear customer?

- Bring the food that we have pre-ordered here.

The server bowed and left. After about 5 minutes, the food was brought to them. Yang Tian raised a glass to Ling Ya Qi:

- Miss Ya Qi, here's to a successful partnership.

Ling Ya Qi smiled and sipped on her wine glass before putting it down.

- You can discuss further business with my manager. I have a show tomorrow after noon so I'll be leaving tomorrow morning.

- That's a shame. I wonder if miss Ya Qi have time tonight. I'd like to take you out on a date.

Ling Ya Qi was thinking about it and her manager lightly tapped her legs and signaled Ya Qi to decline. She didn't want Ling Ya Qi going out late with a person they've just met.

Ling Ya Qi thought for a bit then nodded:

- Alright, since I'm here I might enjoy myself a bit. But I do have to be home by 11pm though.

Yang Tian felt invigorated, a beauty accepting his invitation to a date couldn't be any better:

- It's a date then.

The four enjoyed the meal then departed. Biao Zheng Long and Chu Ci called people to pick them up. Before leaving, Biao Zheng Long told Yang Tian:

- Young master, this is a daughter of a friend, you really shouldn't...

Yang Tian face darkened, this guy really thought he was that type of person?

- What kind of person do you think I am. I really only want to take her on a date.

- Then I am at eased.

Yang Tian patted Biao Zheng Long's shoulder:

- You've outdone yourself this time. I have a martial skill manual that I made when I was bored. You can have it as a reward.

Martial skills are techniques that used inner qi to attack or defend similar to Dharmic magic of Cultivators. They were immensely rare and a powerful martial skill would allowed an early Earth stage like himself to fight toe to toe with a mid Earth stage or even late stage.

Could a martial skill produced by Yang Tian be a low grade one? Of course not. Of all the Earth grade martial artists, only 20% possessed martial skills but less than 1% of them have a high grade martial skills. This was a testament to the rarity of martial skills.

- This is the Meridian Severing Finger, it utilize inner qi to assault your opponent meridians and severing them. This can permanently destroy their cultivation so take care when using it.

Biao Zheng Long had a seriously look:

- I understand.

Yang Tian explained gave some more pointers to Biao Zheng Long then left. He shouldn't left Ling Ya Qi waiting.

Escorting Ling Ya Qi to her car, she didn't entered immediately but took her time to examined the car then said to Yang Tian:

- I feel that this is car is very familiar. Where have I seen this before?

- This is a Rolls Royce, it's a very well-known brand so it's not strange if you've seen it.

Ling Ya Qi nodded and got on the car. Yang Tian also got into the driver's seat but instead of starting the car, he called someone:

- Is this Chu Wu?

- Currently speaking, you are?

- This is Yang Tian, you've asked me to go drifting during the banquet, is it on tonight?

Chu Wu heard that and was cheerful:

- Nice, I'm preparing to go to one right now. Where are you? I'll come and pick you up.

- I'm currently at the Tian Hai Restaurant.

-Alright.

Turning off his phone, Yang Tian turned to Ling Ya Qi:

- I'm taking to experience a new thing, how's that?

Ling Ya Qi smiled:

- I've heard that drifting is very fun, of course I wouldn't say no.

- Alright.

Yang Tian wanted to go racing since he wanted to try it for a while but never had the time. Now with a nice car and a beauty in hand, the time was ripe so why waste a good opportunity. Not only that, he heard that most beauties like a man with guts so this was a good opportunity.
